Vale Mail is a 16 page, full colour bi-monthly community newspaper that's distributed free to over 8,800 residents in the Castle Vale area of Birmingham (4,100 households). First published in 2000 by Castle Vale Housing Action Trust, we took over the publication of Vale Mail in 2004. Since then we've made some radical improvements to the design and editorial of the newspaper.

Vale Mail is an independent and trusted source of news and information for the community. It's very popular too: 84% of local residents rely on it as their main source of information according to a 2007 survey conducted by Castle Vale Tenants and Residents Alliance.
